About Old Willow Cottage

The House: Custom built cottage built in the local mountain home vernacular. The exterior features local wood lap siding, posts, and corbel details, poplar bark siding, and a cedar shake roof. Inside, the home is finished with rich, wide-plank oak flooring, wooden shiplap walls, marble countertops, and marble tile showers. The living room is anchored by a local stone fireplace with reclaimed wood mantel, and you’ll find another large stone fireplace on the screened-in porch, overlooked by dual antler chandeliers. The light fixtures are a mix of designer favorites from Visual Comfort, Currey and Company, Aerin Lauder, and France and Sons. The furniture is a comfortable, timeless and collected look featuring English and French antiques, found pieces from designer friends including Jason Arnold Interiors, Revival Home, and Spruce Interiors, as well as items from contemporary brands such as Serena and Lily, Pottery Barn, and Lee Furniture.

The Kitchen: The culinary heart of the home, this kitchen was thoughtfully outfitted with a fine selection of flatware, glassware, cutlery, and tools from such names as Riedel, Wustoff, All Clad, Le Creuset, and Mauviel to enhance you home dining experience. You’ll find a gas range, dishwasher, and stainless steel fridge along with a classic porcelain farmhouse sink. Don’t miss starting your mountain mornings with our expertly collected coffee set up! We have a Ratio Six coffee maker, a Bartaza Encore grinder, and a Nespresso Vertuo Next pod machine for when time is limited. You can also experiment with different techniques including our Fellow French Press and pour over.

The Living Room: A comfortable, collected assortment of antiques and designer furniture anchors the main gathering space of the home, where you can play games, enjoy friends and family, read a great book, or watch a movie while cuddled up by the fire. Outdoors: One of the main reasons to come to these wonderful mountains is the outdoors! From beautiful scenery, abundant wildlife, and incredible year round weather, getting outdoors is key! The screened in porch is one of our favorite spots to relax, and our covered front porch is a great place to start the day with a cup of coffee. Don’t miss the firepit in the cottage circle out front that is a great place to gather or to meet neighbors!
